(Pro-) Zionists: Potentially Divisive Disagreement Unnecessary
The discussion has died down by now, but it is likely to pop up again in the future – the question regarding whether non-Jews can legitimately refer to themselves as Zionists or if they need to leave that title for the Jews and, instead, call themselves pro-Zionists. Frankly, in my opinion, both terms are exactly the same and both Jews and non-Jews should be able to comfortably call themselves either without anyone having anything much to say about the matter. In some parts of the web, unfortunately, a big deal has been made over this issue. In this piece, I clarify my understanding of the relevant points.
